Collage Quilting for Beginners (Laura Heine Method)
Class Description: A Laura Heine collage quilt is all about playing with fabric. You will create your quilt using color, fabric patterns and designs, and many other forms of creativity. To teach the process, we will use Laura Heine's "Old Blue" pattern and Indigo Quilt Studio's exclusive Old Blue Truck fabric kit. Learn Laura’s techniques to successfully create, secure, and quilt your work of art!
Location: Lincoln, Illinois
Course Goals: You will learn the Laura Heine Collage Quilting process and complete your design layout by the end of class. Suggestions on quilting and finishing will be shared in the class.

- "Old Blue" Pattern by Laura Heine, 16in x 20in (One of 3 patterns in Teeny Tiny Collage Pattern Group #2)
- Karen Kay Buckley medium serrated edge scissors (blue handles)
- 12" wide Steam-A-Seam 2 (No substitutes!), 3 yards
- Pattern Ease foundation, 3/4 yard
- Silicone applique fusing mat (at least 17in x 24in)
- Applique pressing sheet
- Rotary cutter and cutting mat
- #2 pencil
